Re: Vente sur Ebay: trucs et astuces

In the USA we now have something called the Global Shipping Program. It is not optional. You charge what amounts to domestic shipping and that is what they pay you. Somehow ebay also charges the buyer for international shipping. You ship the item to an address in Erlanger Kentucky and they forward ...

Re: Macro et trinoculaire

You need to find a CF 2.5x ocular. The scope shoots great stereo pairs. It was the preferred scope of the famous Gemological Photographer John I. Koivula for decades. The riser has a C mount on it which should make it fairly easy to adapt to many cameras.

The photo ocular drops right into the ...

Re: Identification éclairage

That looks like "aus Jena" to me.

Fred why would those beautiful solid copper blocks make you furious? Do they break lamps during installation or something?
They look pretty high quality to me. Unless the lamp heat ruins the springs.

Re: Quelques photoscopes

That unit is an ENG which fits a Sony Bayonet mount video camera. Most of these had pretty small chips. Also the the projective distance is probably longer than you expect because many of the cameras that used this mount were 3ccd with a prism assembly to divide the colors into RGB.

It might be ...

Re: Microtome knives available

They are very standard knives from American Optical and Lipshaw
All have edges in very good condition. Only two need any attention at all (nicks that need regrinding)
The AO are wide (about 6")and Lipshaw even wider(8"). There is some variation in the width of the bevel. (which I think connotes the ...

Re: Microtome knives available

They seem to all be of american manufacture. Various widths from the small ones which are five or six inches and there are also some very wide ones.
The main manufacturer's mark are American Optical, Lipshaw (very famous here in pathology departments) and something like Turkey (somebody's last name ...

Microtome knives available

I have just received a quantity of microtome knives. If anybody wants to buy or trade for one or more , send me a private message.
I do not expect to receive the world for them. They are all in good condition, obviously taken care of by a professional microtomist.

Re: Stereozoom à 25 euros sur LBC

I did not pay attention to whether it was, a sale price, or an auction. At the price mentioned, it is a good deal.
A mediocre stereoscope is better than no stereoscope, for certain. It will make you want to get a Wild :D

Re: Stereozoom à 25 euros sur LBC

The price is quite low. But it is not a terribly desirable stereoscope.
There are many models of the Bausch and Lomb StereoZoom and this one is a special low end one for educational purposes.
Even the best Bausch and Lomb StereoZooms have mirrors rather than prisms to erect the image.
I would not ...
