Pellia epiphylla

Hello,

this is my first posting on "Le Naturaliste" and I want to introduce myself with some pics of the liverwort "Pellia epiphylla". I found this species on the bank of the river Lech, near Füssen in Germany, Oberbayern.
Bonjour, voici ma première contribution sur le forum " Le Naturaliste " , et je souhaite me présenter avec quelques images de Pellia epiphylla. J'ai trouvé cette espèce sur les rives de la rivière Lech, près de Fussen, en Allemagne, Haute-Bavière.

Thie first pic shows the habitus seen with a stereomicroscope. Here the heart-shaped clipped thallusends are visible. In the middle of each lobe there is a dark band that is characteristic for the genus Pellia.

Oil bodies are typical for all liverworts, here to be seen in the upper part of the foto:

Compared to the inner lamina cells the border cells are longish. This stack of 15 single pics also shows the
spatial structure of the border cells:

Bonjour à tous,

am Rande eines Entwässerungsgrabens im Further Moor bei Langenfeld habe ich endlich auch einmal fruchtende Exemplare von P. epiphylla gefunden. Enfin à la limite d'un fossé de drainage dans le marécage Further près de Langenfeld, j'ai trouvé aussi une fois les exemplaires portant ses fruits de P. epiphylla.

- unreifes Sporogon mit noch geschlossener Kapsel. Sporogone immature avec la capsule encore fermée.

- Geöffnete reife Kapsel mit Sporen und Elateren. Bei den meisten Lebermossen springt die Kapsel, so wie hier, in 4 Klappen auf.- Capsule mûre ouverte avec des éperons et élatères. Comme la plupart des Hépatiques, la capsule s'ouvre par 4 volets.

- Spore. Die Sporen von Pellia sind mehrzellig und können schon als Vorkeim angesprochen werden. Spore. Les éperons de Pellia sont pluricellulaires et peuvent déjà être considérés comme le prégerme.
