The fixed prisms in the BH2-NCF were intended to be used with the S Plan Achromats. I've never tried one with S Plan Apos, but it seems you are getting good results. If so, then the only "downside" would be that the aperture size of the Plan Achromat prisms is a little smaller than the prisms made for the D Plan Apo and BH2-UCD condenser. So if the Plan Apo's work well you have the advantage of their superior optical corrections, but not the larger numerical aperture. (I've never measured the aperture size on the BH2-NCF prisms, but the interchangeable Plan Achromat prisms for the BH2-UCD have smaller apertures than the Apo prisms.

But it's nice to have a couple built-in phase annuli, and the 1.4 NA will be handy if you ever try to squeeze the last bit of resolution out of a high NA objective in brightfield.
